Improving GGC
Georgia Gwinnett College is the newest four year college in Georgia and has recently become accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate degrees. Georgia Gwinnett College is located in Lawrenceville, in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Although GGC is a new campus with changes evolving every day, I feel there are a few minor changes that would make everyone happier as a whole. Problems at GGC that affect me are lines and food choices in the eatery, e-mail, and choices of classes. I conducted a survey to see how other students may feel about these same issues. Dinning Hall Most people said they only eat once a day in the dining halls at GGC. The wait seems to be about 5-10 minutes. Eating once a day is not much, but waiting 5-10 minutes in line can leave you rushing to your next class to get there in time. However, the issue I wanted to address is the idea of a line for quick orders such as drinks and grab as you go snacks. It seems easier to throw an extra snack in your back pack to eat rather than stand in line for 5 minutes. Perhaps a seprate line would benefit students. Maybe even increase sales. |
It seems that most people have trouble with their e-mails and have had trouble with assignments due to their e-mail technical issues. College life is fast paced and often assignments are done between classes. Being able to always access e-mail would definitely help busy schedules. |
Class Choices More class choices would benefit students as well. It seems most would like to take on-line classes. However, not everyone seemed to agree on swimming classes on GGC. Only three people were able to take my survey and all three people gave different choices. We are required to take 3 Physical Education classes and only have three choices. This means we are required to take all three. I am not too happy about taking the swimming class. Click on the file below to view the survey results.
